This album was inspired by a walk down memory lane with a dear childhood friend this past summer. Walking through the Shambles in North Yorkshire, where I was born, we reminisced about what fun we had at Christmas time. Our families would host epic Christmas parties and the music would be blasting with the likes of Wham, Elton John, Wizzard, Shakin' Stevens, to name a few. The slower and more traditional English carols included on the album are a tribute to my late Grandparents, Margaret and Maurice Sleightholme. The beautiful artwork by Brenda Sleightholme captures the feeling of the album so vividly. A special thank you to my darling husband, who put his heart and soul into mastering the album.
